Stephen Marley is Bob Marley’s second son and is a Rastafarian singer, songwriter, musician and producer. He started out when he was six years old playing with his brother Ziggy Marley and they recorded Children Playing in the Streets, a charity single with profits to the United Nations for International Year of the Child. Stephen played a supportive role with Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He worked as a producer for his other brothers Damien Marley and Julian Marley as well as doing remixes of R and B and Hip Hop with Erykah Badu, Krayzie bone and Eve. His remix Chant Down Babylon of his father work was considered blasphemy by purists but it’s success encouraged the young producer. He released his first album Mind control in 2007.
