Jimmy Cliff was born in St Catherine Jamaica in 1948. He is one of the reggae greats recording some of the most well known reggae songs ever produced. Hit songs like the Vietnam, Struggling Man, Many Rivers to Cross, I can see clearly now, You can get it if you really want, and the Cat Stevens hit Wild World. In 1968, Cliff released his debut album, the excellent Hard Road to Travel, and won the International Song Festival with Waterfall a song which was a smash hit in Brazil. He has appeared and written theme songs for several movies including The Harder they Come, Cool Runnings and Club Paradise. In 2004 he released a comeback album of sorts, Black Magic, which featured duets with high profile stars like Sting, Joe Strummer, Wyclef Jean and others, appeared from Artemis Records.
