Hugh Mundell
Hugh Mundell was one of reggae most promising young performers in the seventies. He was shot and killed whilst sitting in the car with Junior Reid in 1983. As a teen he teamed up with producer Joe Gibbs and Augustus Pablo and his debut Album Africa must be Free by 1983 remains a roots reggae classic. His first break came when he was hired a a deejay for Augustus Pablo Rockers Sound System. A dub version of Africa Must Be Free was released in 1989. [block id=”reggae-banner”]
