Gregory Isaacs was born in Kingston Jamaica in 1951. He is the cool ruler of Lovers Rock and virtually invented the genre. He started his own record store and label called African Museum and working with Errol Dunkley they released his first major hit My Only Lover.Gregory Issaacs has turned out hit after hit over a thiry year time span. Some of his biggest hits are Night Nurse, Roots Radics, Lets Go Dancing and Feeling Irie. He crosses all genres of reggae from dancehall, ragga to deepest roots and lovers rock. The singer continues to impress audiences live, and his prodigious output shows no sign of slowing. The legend of Gregory Isaacs continues to be written.
