Dennis Brown Crown Prince of Reggae
Dennis Brown was born in Jamaica in 1957.He died in 1999.He was a roots reggae singer who career spanned over three decades. Brown was known as Crown Prince of Reggae.He was a member of the band Byron Lee and the Dragonaires produced out of Studio One by Coxsone Dodd. He worked with Joe Higgs, Sly and Robbie, Ernest Ranglin and many others. His hit Money in my Pocket went to the top of the British Charts in the late seventies.He was nominated for a Grammy for this album Light my Fire. Dennis Brown was buried in Jamaica as a national hero.
