Jah Blue Pepper is Hot with a fruity flavour

The Jah Blue Pepper is really hot and has a great flavour. We save our seeds each year, as although they are usually so abundant in season, we never take them for granted and always replant each Spring. We have given seed to as many people on the land as we can so that if we ever lose our supply some-one else will have them.

Most growers marvel at it’s incredible hardiness, being pulled out and moved about several times in the season and still growing well.To be honest most people don’t know what to do with all the beautiful bright yellow extremely hot chillis that they produce. We freeze them, dry them, eat them and save the seeds.

Jah Blue’s brethren had the mother plant of the Jah blue pepper in his garden. At that time these kind of chillis were just not available anywhere and they were precious. When he left his house we transplanted the mother plant into our garden. It’s offspring are still growing today. Of course it has multiplied and is now in hundreds of gardens around Australia.

This really is an extraordinary chilli and although dangerously hot is delicious.
Take out the seeds and make sure you wash your hands after handling it.

Jah Blue Pepper added to fish tea to give special touch

Rasta fish tea is spiced up with the addition of one of these chillis when they are green, which is then taken out at the end before it bursts. Just don’t forget to take it out or someone will get a big shock when they get a mouthful of this one.
