Using Solar Power wherever you can will help reduce energy bills
It is time to think of ways to cut the electricity bill. If you don’t have a large amount of money to set up a full solar power system, solar power for lights and cooking are two easy ways to make a significant difference to the power bill.
Solar Ovens
can be used to meet up to 70% of the needs of a family of 6 to 8 people, entirely with the power of the sun. Even though it is called an oven, food can be boiled, steamed, roasted or baked at cooking temperatures of 360° F / 182° C, making it ideal for cooking the majority of foods in the developing and western world. Build your own or take a look at the latest inventions.
Over 2 billion people cook with wood, charcoal or dung as their primary cooking fuel and the social, economic and environmental impacts are significant. These fuels are becoming increasingly scarce and costly. In western countries it is seriously time to think of ways to conserve electricity.
