Bunny Wailer is also a great reggae singer songwriter guitarist and percussionist.

Political terrorism in Jamaica has changed the Jamaica that Bunny Wailer, Bob Marley and Peter Tosh knew in the late sixties. The Trenchtown of old was an ecclectic community of inspiration and innovation. It was like “Hollywood” or “Piccadilly” in those days. People flocked there for music and dance.

Bob Marley’s mother and Bunny Wailer’s father had a daughter so they shared a sister and grew up as brothers. Abandoning their careers the infamous trio formed a group, however they always had ideas of being solo performers eventually even back then.

Listening to Joe Higgs and inspired by The Platters, The Drifters, Little Anthony and the Imperials and Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions their unique blend of rythmns and harmonies rocketed them on to the Jamaican Reggae Scene like a Fireball.

Bunny was never up front in the limelight like Bob and Peter and this is probably why he and Beverley Kelso are the only two remaining original Wailer’s band members still alive today. Although a deeply spiritual Rastafarian Bunny Wailer kept a low profile compared to the others and a culture renowned for it’s violence and death he has stayed alive to carry on the message of this prophetic music.

Having pursued a long solo career and not venturing from Jamaica to “foreign” very often he now lives on a farm in Kingston Jamaica.
Bunny Wailer Music includes Blackheart Man, Rock’n’Groove, Retrospective, Protest, Bunny Wailer sings the Wailers.
